Harley Davidson New Forest Owners Group Rally on The Seafront Brings The Crowds to Hayling Island.
The wonderful distinctive throb of the Harley's engines could be heard throughout the Island's roads all weekend as the New Forest Branch of The Harley Owners Group held their annual rally at Hayling Island. Over 300 bikers stayed at the Island's Mill Rythe complex.
On Saturday afternoon the bikes were the star of the show as they were proudly displayed by their owners along the seafront. The bikes have nearly all been customised by their owners and made great entertainment for the large crowd of enthusiasts who had come to see them.
The Mayor Councillor Shinbart was in attendance and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the expeience as did people from every age group.
One of the loveey things about the show was that it brought in people that would not normally come to Hayling Island and the site of Hayling's Seafront railway carriages full of bikers will live long in the memory.
The bikers were keen to promote their chosen charity The Wessex branch of Bloodbikes serving Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. Blood Bikes are a nationwide association that carry out vital work delivering, blood and samples across the country that helpes save lives and the NHS a huge amount of money.
