Hayling United Secure Promotion with 3 - 0 Away win at Four Marks
A great run of 7 wins since Christmas has seen Hayling secure 2nd Place. Goals from Danny Lane , Kieran Carter and Ryan Jennings secured the win at nearest rivals Four Marks
The promotion caps a remarkable turnaround for Hayling United who almost went out of business a couple of years ago. The club is now thriving with the reserves reaching the semi final of the Puma Enginerering Combination cup, and successful youth teams at all levels.
Chairman Mark Griffiths said "it is an excellent achievement and congratulations must go to joint managers Mark Howard and Dean Inman and all the team. There is a lot of work being carried out on and off the field to create a platform for ongoing success.
A big well done should also go to Frank Antony and his reserve side. To reach a cup semi final in their first season is a great achievement and one that I hope will be the catalyst to push on. It is also good to see some of the reserves stepping up into the first team and showing what a good squad we have at HUFC.
It is also good to see the new set up of mini soccer doing so well. Under the guidance of Steve Jones and Jim wells the new 3-5 year olds and 5-7 year olds are doing extremely well, and the feedback is very positive.
